The Evaluation Model of Organizational Strategic Goals for Implementing Business Intelligence Systems

Abstract
Purpose: The aim of this research is to present a conceptual model for evaluating organizational strategic goals in order to assess the contribution of these goals in the establishment and design of the organization's business intelligence system.

Method: This research is exploratory in nature and descriptive in method. The statistical population of the study consists of managers from industries producing various types of pumps, motors, and related industries in the northwest of the country. The sample size, determined using Cochran's formula, is 120. The sampling method is convenience sampling, and a researcher-made questionnaire was used as the data collection tool. To assess the validity of the questionnaire, face validity was employed, and for reliability, the retest method was used. Finally, the data analysis methods include the t-test and exploratory factor analysis.

Findings: This study aims to identify and extract criteria for evaluating organizational objectives to assess their potential contribution to the establishment of a business intelligence system. Accordingly, the identified criteria were statistically tested through a survey of the statistical population, resulting in a conceptual model with four factors.

Conclusion: This research presents a conceptual model with four key factors that help organizations evaluate their strategic goals against these factors and select appropriate goals for establishing an effective business intelligence system. These factors include "Continuous Improvement and Sustainable Value Creation", "Realistic and Transparent", "Stakeholder Satisfaction" and "Measurable and Time bound".
