English

Objective: Some researchers suggest that being in a supportive family environment helps female novice entrepreneurs establish a successful business. However, work-related challenges, along with the necessity of fulfilling traditional roles, create conflicts that can hinder their success. Therefore, this study examines the impact of family support on the success of female novice entrepreneurs, emphasizing the moderating role of role conflicts.

Method: This research is applied in terms of its objective and descriptive-correlational in terms of data collection. The statistical population consists of female entrepreneurs who have established at least one business with over one year of operational history. The primary data collection tool was a questionnaire designed based on a five-point Likert scale. Data were gathered from 140 female entrepreneurs in Tehran and analyzed using SPSS and LISREL software.

Findings: The research findings indicate that both financial and social family support have a significant positive effect on the success of female entrepreneurs. Furthermore, role conflict, as a moderating variable, weakens the relationship between family support and entrepreneurial success, such that as role conflict increases, the effect of family support diminishes.

Conclusion: These results suggest that female entrepreneurs face more challenges compared to their male counterparts, and family support can help mitigate these difficulties. Therefore, financial and social family support plays a crucial role in facilitating women's entrepreneurial journeys. This study highlights the importance of reducing role conflicts and increasing family support for the success of female entrepreneurs. The findings can assist policymakers and decision-makers in developing strategies to minimize role conflicts and enhance family support, thereby creating a more favorable environment for women's entrepreneurship.
